How Much Do New Gutters Cost in Tyler, TX?

Somebody asks us this almost every day, so let's just answer it straight: it depends on your house. Any gutter company that throws you a hard number over the phone without ever looking at your roofline is guessing, and you'll find out what the guess missed on install day. Here's what actually goes into the price, so you know what you're paying for.

The short answer

Straight answer: there's no honest way to put one number on it without seeing your house first. A small one-story ranch and a two-story house with rotted fascia and guards are two different animals. How much footage, how many stories, what shape the wood behind your gutters is in, whether the old gutters have to come off — that's what decides it. That's why we quote in person instead of posting prices: the number we give you standing at your house is the real one. The factors below are what move it up or down.

Your roofline footage is the biggest factor

Gutters are priced largely by the linear foot, measured along the eaves where the gutter will hang. A house with long, straight runs is straightforward. A house with lots of corners, miters, and short sections takes more material cuts and more labor per foot. Two houses with the same square footage can have very different gutter footage, which is why square footage alone doesn't price a job.

One story or two

A second story means taller ladders, more time moving around the house, and more care taken on safety. Two-story work costs more than the same footage on a one-story home. That's not a markup — it's just more labor, plain and simple.

6-inch gutters are what most Tyler homes need

Most of what we install is 6-inch seamless gutter, and there's a reason. East Texas rain doesn't mess around — when a real downpour hits, a smaller gutter can get overwhelmed and spill over even when it's perfectly clean. Six-inch gutter moves a lot more water. It costs a bit more in material than 5-inch, but for most homes here it's the right call, and it's what we recommend unless there's a reason to do otherwise.

Guards or no guards

Adding gutter guards adds to the install price — how much depends on which guard you choose and how much footage it's covering. We install LeafBlaster Pro micro-mesh guards and Smart Flow guards. Guards aren't for everybody, but if your house sits under pine trees, they can pay for themselves in cleaning bills you never have to pay again. We wrote a whole post on guards and pine needles if you want the honest version of how they work.

Tear-off and whatever is hiding underneath

If we're replacing old gutters, the old ones have to come down and get hauled off, and that labor is part of the job. The bigger unknown is the fascia board behind them. Gutters that have been overflowing for years rot the board they're attached to, and sometimes you can't see it until the old gutter comes off. If we find rotten fascia, we'll show it to you before we fix anything. No surprises added to the bill without a conversation first.

Why we give quotes in person, free

Because that's the only way the number is real. We come out, measure your roofline, count the corners, look at your fascia, talk through guards or no guards, and hand you an exact price. It doesn't cost you anything, and there's no pressure attached to it.
